Reproductive and Sexual Health

I always adore appearing at the AGM and Study Day of the Society of Consultants and Lead Clinicians in Reproductive Health. Their welcome is always very warm and this year’s Study Day was centred on Budgeting and Financial Control. Many years ago when I first wrote ‘The NHS Budget Holder’s Survival Guide’ I wrote an Introduction which said:

The average NHS budget manager has a budget of over a quarter of a million pounds of public money but has received little or no formal training in how to manage it.

Apart from the total amount of money having doubled, this statement is sadly almost as true today as it was then. The events I run go some small way towards addressing this.

I did wonder what the collective noun is for a group of specialists in Reproductive and Sexual Health. I should have known better; the answer is obviously a RaSH.
