Another great day at 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust running The NHS Budget Holder’s Survival Guide. I was originally commissioned to run a handful of events but word of mouth spread and I’ve now trained almost every budget holder within the organisation.
Comments from today’s event include (with written permission gratefully received from each participant):
“Super. Really enjoyed the day.” – Amanda Risino, Director of KIPS
“Thanks for bringing it all alive.” – Julian Eyre, AD, Later Life and Memory Service
“An excellent presentation and delivery.” – Peter Ryan, Assistant Financial Accountant, KIPS
“Style of delivery was very engaging making what is seen as a very dry subject ‘fun’.” – Carole Bayliss, Business Modernisation Facilitator, Community Provider Services
“Excellent and interesting day.” – Ian Spencer, Orthotics Manager
“Very interesting. Was looking forward to training as heard positive things – not disappointed.” – Nicky Over, Business Manager, KIPS
“Enjoyed the day.” – Dawn Chalmes, Business Manager, Quality and Governance
It’s always interesting to see how staff’s confidence in interpreting financial reports can be transformed in just a day. I’ve spent two decades doing finance training within the NHS and have developed a Seven Step Method for interpreting financial reports using seven questions, making three calculations and taking no more than 15 minutes. It works every time.
Many thanks to everyone involved.
