“David – you have inspired me again – here’s to the Budget Holder’s revolution!”
Training in budgeting and finance in the NHS is about so much more than understanding the rights and responsibilities of budget holders, or how to read and understand a budget statement. It’s about winning hearts and minds to the idea that finance is an essential partner in the delivery of safe care and that increasing financial awareness and financial skills amongst clinical, technical and managerial staff results in better outcomes for more patients.
Today was a wonderful day with staff in Buckinghamshire running The NHS Budget Holder’s Survival Guide.
