“The best day of the course by far. Really fascinating tour of the financial world. Thank you very much.”
It’s always a pleasure to work with Leadership and Organisational Development in the East of England and with The King’s Fund. Today I ran a Finance Masterclass on the Provider Excellence Programme. It was a pleasure to have the delegates’ company and particularly pleasurable to have some challenge and robust debate.
Whenever the words ‘NHS Finance’ are uttered, people in the NHS have a reaction. Here are just some of the first words or phrases which come into the minds of a group of senior NHS leaders:
Boring
Important
Cost Improvement
Tight Rein
Containment
Big
Complex
Strapped
Bureaucracy
Dull
Demanding
Panic
Crisis
Challenging
Jargon
Confusion
Inefficient
