It was a pleasure to present NHS Finance in a Nutshell for a large group of motivated and engaged psychiatrists today. It’s fascinating to look at how little we all know about the workings of the UK economy and to compare that to our knowledge of the economic workings of our own individual NHS organisations.
Here are some of the evaluation comments from the day (with kind permission from the participants):
“I found this an excellent day – it was interesting, relevant and interactive. David is an engaging and passionate advocate for his profession and for the NHS and the patients that we serve.” – Debbie Stephenson
“David was an excellent speaker. I enjoyed his training a lot more than I expected as he made the topic of NHS finance and health economics easily digestible. Explained complex ideas in an easy, humorous manner.” – Dr Akram
“An informative, entertaining and provocative training course to better engage with managers to protect, expand and deliver vital services in the NHS in the years ahead.” – Dr Anthony Ang
“Very interesting instructive and enjoyable way to learn about health economics and NHS finances. We were all kept engaged and entertained by David Bailey (no relation to photographer).”
